You cannot put anything that is considered dangerous, hazardous or requires a “permit to move” into the skip bin.
We do not transport hazardous, toxic, restricted or regulated waste as this is prohibited by law.
The following items are NOT permitted in our skips:
- ASBESTOS
- TYRES
- FIBRO
- PUTRESCIBLE WASTE (food scraps, human waste e.g. nappies, animal waste e.g. dog poo bags)
- EXPLOSIVES or GAS BOTTLES
- LIQUIDS (oil, paint, thinners, noxious chemicals, pesticides or herbicides)
- MEDICAL WASTE
- BATTERIES or MOBILE PHONES (car batteries okay if left beside the skip bin)
- MATTRESSES (incur a $25 fee)
The hirer is responsible for the bin once it has been delivered. This includes ensuring:
- No prohibited items are placed in the bin
- The bin is not overloaded
- No damage is caused to the bin
- The bin is not moved from the delivered position
- The bin remains secure
- Access to the bin for collection
- Any damage to the bin will incur a repair fee.
- It is the hirer’s responsibility to advise when the bin is full or further hire charges may be applied.
OVERLOADED BINS CANNOT BE TRANSPORTED:
- Do not fill bin above the rim. Rubbish needs to be level with the top rim of the bin.
- Overloaded bins are a risk to the operator, lifting equipment and other road users during transportation.
- Keep all waste and rubbish fully within the bin.
- Any overloaded bins that cannot be collected will be regarded as a futile collection and will incur a fee as below.
The hirer agrees to make the bin available for delivery and collection by Elite Skips on the agreed date.
Should we not be able to deliver or pick up the skip within 10 minutes of our arrival it will be deemed a futile attempt and we will be entitled to costs.
The current futile delivery/collection fee is $110 (including GST).
